Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas

Preparation

  1. The banana you use should be ripe and soft to have the sweetness and flavor for this dish. Peel the banana and chop into 1.5-2 inch pieces, making them as consistent in sizing as possible.

  2. Place the banana slices in an airtight container and place in the freezer at least two hours or overnight. Once frozen, take out of the container and place in a food processor or blender. Pulse to break pieces up.

  3. Continue to pulse until the banana is in smaller pieces. Scrape the sides of the container if needed. Keep blending until the banana is a fully mixed consistency and will start to look like soft ice cream. Blend a few more moments to add some air. Continue to scrape down the sides of the container as needed. .Put back in an airtight container and freeze again until ready to eat.

  4. If flavoring with chocolate, add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder. You can also add in 3-4 strawberries, some cinnamon and/or fresh grated ginger.
