About the Recipe
If you’ve tried halva, you know what a treat it can be. These no-bake Halva Bars are a twist on traditional halva, combining tahini, protein powder, and a few simple pantry staples with a touch of natural sweetness. Rich, nutty, and lightly sweet, they pair the distinctive flavor of tahini with vanilla and optional pistachios for a satisfying, make-ahead treat—no baking required.
Use honey or maple syrup depending on your preference, and choose your favorite unflavored protein powder to make these bars your own.

Ingredients
2 cups tahini
⅓–½ cup honey or maple syrup
¾ cup unflavored protein powder, such as whey or pumpkin seed
¾ cup coconut flour or almond flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons raw pistachio pieces, optional
Preparation
Add the tahini to a food processor or high-speed blender.
Gradually add the honey or maple syrup and process until smooth.
Add the protein powder and continue processing.
Add the coconut flour, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Mix until combined, scraping down the sides as needed. The mixture should be thick but spreadable.
If using pistachios, gently fold them into the mixture, keeping some larger pieces intact.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, covering the bottom and sides.
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Slice into 10–12 bars.
Store in an airtight container.
For a plant-based version, use maple syrup and a plant-based unflavored protein powder.
